Some Interesting Comments on the Developments of Porn Regulation
Here's the comments I'm talking about. Mostly from the General who leaves comments several places and about many topics. They are someone involved in the industry and seem to have a handle on the news. I'm cautiously optimistic that this is a beginning to responsibility in Porn Valley. It's only the beginning, there's still so much more that needs to be done.

I love the line…”We are only tested every 30 days.”
As if it is somebody elses decision on how often YOU get tested. Anyone who has unprotectedsex with mutliple partners,(protstitutes) who in turn are having unprotected sex with mutlitple partners,(prostitutes), and so on and so on, and only tests THEMSELVES every 30 days is not very smart.
Of course very few people in porn care enough about themselves to get tested more often, let alone care about the people they are possibly infecting.
It is YOUR choice how often you get tested, and YOUR choice to engage in unprotected sex with fellow prostitutes(porn stars).
Oh, I forgot, it is safer to have sex with a porn star than someone in the genereal public.(LOL)
And with all the oral and anal sex that porn stars(prostitute) engage in they DO NOT test for oral or anal gonn/chlam. They just do a urine test that will not tell if you have gon/chlam, let alone anything else in the anus or throat.(LOL)
Shoudnt anal and oral swabs for gonn/chlam be ‘mandatory’. What good is a test that only tests for vaginal infections in the porn biz?

By your use of the term “my performers” I will assume for the sake of argument that you are a director or producer.
As ‘your’ performers it will be YOU who is required to pay for any and ALL treatment that YOUR perfomers require AFTER they have worked for you, in addition to paying for the testing BEFORE they work for you. Do you have any idea what that is going to do to your workers comp rates(asuming you have workers comp ins.,which is also mandatory)
And just to show how much you misunderstand the regulations, it is not the performers who will be required to test, it will be the producers who are required to test their performers.
And in case you think this will be impossible to implement, I suggest you read the California Supreme Court ruling in the Brooke Ashley case. IT is the basis for all of these changes and was finalized in Dec. of 2008. Since then AIM and the FSC have been crafting a plan behind closed doors to requuire producers and directors, and possibly agents(as secondary employers) to pay for ALL of it.(This is also going to become the standard in Florida too)
And dont even try to pretend you knew about this.
And if youre not concerned about it now, you will be very shortly.
And do you want to talk about HPV and cervical cancer rates for former porn performers. Guess how much it will cost producers to pay for that treatment.
And before you use that same old line…”How do they prove what company they were working for when they got it, or they got it hooking or in their private life…” I will say again, read the SUPREME COURT RULING regarding the brooke ashley case. IT ALL THERE…Read it and weep.
I heard the rumors just like you. I’ll care if and when it’s implemented – by law. And before you go squawking about workers comp, go talk to the employers of migrant farm workers, whom the various state agencies, including Cal-OSHA, can’t seem to effectively regulate.
